Local Operations Manager - Onshore Wind - England

I am looking for a LOM in the north east of England a powerhouse in wind turbine services across Europe. With a track record of excellence, they manage over 8,000 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and boast a dedicated team of 2,200 employees spread across multiple European countries.

As a Local Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in their operations.

Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with various departments, ensuring exceptional service quality, and maintaining our market leadership position.

Your Role:

You will be the linchpin between our back office and field operations, overseeing wind farms within a specific geographical area. Your success will hinge on your ability to take ownership, facilitate communication, foster relationships internally and externally, and manage expectations effectively

Key Responsibilities:

- Cultivate a culture of unwavering safety and quality (QHSE) throughout our operations.

- Embrace and embody our company's vision, mission, values, and behaviors.

- Assume full responsibility for your designated area and deputise in the absence of the Head of Operations.

- Lead all aspects of people management, including performance, appraisals, and conflict resolution.

- Identify and drive technician training needs in collaboration with the Technical Training Leader.

- Coordinate resources to meet contractual obligations efficiently.

- Manage operational aspects such as client relationships, legal compliance, and commercial issues.

- Ensure seamless communication with the Supply Chain to optimize stock levels and service efficiency.

- Conduct fault analysis and oversee immediate issue resolution in collaboration with the engineering team.

- Develop and monitor service and maintenance plans while liaising with planning and dispatch.

- Proven leadership experience within a relevant industry.

- Profound understanding of wind turbine safety protocols.

- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

- Solid business acumen and communication skills.

- Sharp decision-making ability with a penchant for accountability.

- Proficiency in negotiation and influencing outcomes.

Package:

Salary : Negotiable

 

·       32 days annual leave (inclusive of 4 bank holidays)

·       Overtime: Paid at 150% for hours worked over the 40-hour contract

·       On-Call Duty: Paid at £75 per day.

·       Commute: Reimbursed for reasonable commute of 30 minutes each way, 100% travel paid afterwards

·       Weekend Travel: Door-to-door travel paid at 150%

·       Overnight Allowance: £50 allowance for business travel 2 hours or more away from home (hotel and meal expenses booked by the company)
